Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Civil Concrete Foreman to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supervising concrete construction projects, particularly in the heavy civil sector. The foreman will lead a team of laborers, operators, and skilled tradespeople, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• •Supervise and coordinate the activities of a crew of workers on heavy civil concrete construction projects, including roads, bridges, foundations, and other infrastructure projects.
• •Ensure that all work is performed safely and complies with project specifications and safety regulations.
• •Plan and schedule daily work assignments, ensuring adequate manpower and equipment availability.
• •Monitor job site productivity, quality, and safety.
• •Provide clear instructions and guidance to the crew while maintaining effective communication.
• •Perform hands-on tasks as needed, including formwork, reinforcement, pouring, and finishing concrete.
• •Inspect work to ensure quality standards and adherence to project specifications.
• •Troubleshoot and resolve issues on the job site to avoid project delays.
• •Maintain inventory of materials and ensure proper equipment utilization.
• •Ensure project documentation (e.g., daily reports, safety logs) is completed accurately and submitted on time.
• •Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
• •Enforce and promote a strong safety culture, conducting safety meetings and ensuring compliance with OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• •5+ years of experience in heavy civil concrete construction, with a proven track record in a supervisory role.
• •Strong knowledge of concrete construction methods, equipment, and materials.
• •Experience in managing large-scale projects, including roadways, bridges, and foundations.
• •Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• •Familiarity with heavy equipment operation (excavators, bulldozers, cranes, etc.).
• •Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• •OSHA 30-Hour Certification, E&S Yellow Card Certification, and MOT Manager Certification are preferred.
• •Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• •Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift heavy materials.
