Job Description

Louisiana Concrete Pumpers is looking for a dependable, hardworking Concrete Line Pump Helper to join our Scott and Baton Rouge, LA offices. This is a hands-on position working alongside our concrete pump operators on residential, commercial, and industrial job sites. The Line Pump Helper assists with setting up hoses, preparing the pump for concrete placement, monitoring the line during pours, and cleaning equipment once the job is complete. This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, isn't afraid of physical work, and wants to learn the concrete pumping industry. Key Responsibilities - Assist the pump operator with daily job-site operations. - Unload, carry, connect, and lay out rubber or steel concrete pumping hoses from the pump truck to the pour location. - Safely route hoses around job-site obstacles and maintain an organized work area. - Assist with priming the pumping system before concrete arrives. - Monitor hoses during the pour for kinks, pressure changes, movement, or potential blockages. - Maintain constant communication with the pump operator throughout the pour. - Move and reposition hoses as needed while concrete is being placed. - Break down and clean pumping lines after each job. - Assist with sponge-out or blow-out procedures to remove remaining concrete from the lines. - Wash and clean the pump hopper, hoses, fittings, and other equipment. - Properly manage concrete washout and keep the job site clean. - Follow all company and job-site safety procedures. - Help inspect and maintain hoses, clamps, fittings, and other pumping equipment. Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding position. Applicants must be able to: - Regularly lift and carry heavy concrete hoses and equipment, often 25-75 lbs or more. - Bend, kneel, climb, pull, push, and work on uneven job-site surfaces. - Work outdoors in hot, cold, wet, muddy, and other changing weather conditions. - Remain on their feet and perform physical work for extended periods. - Work safely around concrete trucks, pumps, construction equipment, and active job sites. Pay

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
