Concrete General Superintendent

I'm looking for someone with 10+ years of hands-on concrete/construction experience, preferably someone who started in the field and moved into superintendent-level management. They should be able to:

• •Know concrete inside and out: foundations, footings, slabs, walls, retaining walls, structural concrete, rebar, formwork, embeds, elevations, finishes, pours, curing, waterproofing coordination, etc.
• •Read plans independently: architectural, structural, civil/site plans, details, sections, schedules and specifications.
• •Catch problems before work is installed and recognize when something in the plans doesn’t work in the field.
• •Understand codes, OSHA/safety requirements, inspections and basic California construction requirements.
• •Communicate directly with GCs, superintendents, architects, inspectors and other trades.
• •Attend jobsite meetings and represent MAC without CEO having to be there.
• •Manage MAC's foremen and field employees across multiple jobsites.
• •Visit jobs and make sure crews are building according to plans, scope, schedule and MAC's quality standards.
• •Take calls from GCs and employees throughout the day and make decisions/delegate instead of forwarding everything to CEO.
• •Coordinate concrete pours, material, equipment, pumps, inspections and deliveries.
• •Identify extra work/change-order situations before MAC performs work for free.
• •Track job progress and report back to Miguel and you.
• •Handle field problems, employee issues and scheduling conflicts.
• •Know when something is outside the contract scope and communicate that to the GC.
• •Be strong enough operationally that CEO can step away from day-to-day field operations without everything stopping

Pay

From $40.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
