Role Description The Concrete Foreman role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Washington DC–Baltimore Area. The Concrete Foreman oversees daily field operations, including coordinating crews, assigning tasks, and ensuring concrete work such as foundations, slabs, walls, and site concrete is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. This role includes interpreting plans and specifications, organizing materials and equipment, monitoring quality and productivity, and communicating with project managers and subcontractors. The Concrete Foreman is responsible for enforcing safety protocols, conducting site inspections, resolving issues that arise on the job site, and maintaining clear documentation of progress. The position requires hands-on leadership, mentoring crew members, and supporting a positive, respectful work environment. Qualifications
- •Demonstrated experience leading concrete crews on commercial or industrial projects, including foundations, slabs, walls, and site concrete work.
- •Strong skills in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and layout documents, with the ability to translate them into clear field direction.
- •Proficiency in coordinating labor, materials, and equipment, including scheduling, sequencing work, and managing subcontractors or vendors.
- •Solid understanding of construction safety standards, OSHA guidelines, and safe work practices, with experience implementing and enforcing safety programs.
- •Ability to use basic construction technology and digital tools (e.g., tablets, project management or time-tracking software) for reporting and communication.
- •Effective communication and leadership skills, including the ability to train, motivate, and provide feedback to diverse crew members.
- •Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship and meeting project deadlines.
- •Prior experience as a Concrete Foreman or Lead Concrete Worker; experience in the Mid-Atlantic region or similar markets is beneficial.
- •Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in the Washington DC–Baltimore Area.
