Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Create Alert The Ready-Mix Driver will be responsible for all duties of the position, including the transporting of freshly mixed concrete from the batch plant to the job site in a safe manner. This individual will be responsible for making normal operating adjustments to the equipment and material being hauled. Responsibilities

  • •Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections
  • •Deliver ready-mix concrete to various job sites
  • •Operate a multi-axle mixer truck safely, obeying all traffic laws
  • •Clean and wash vehicle to include the removal of concrete buildup on all exterior parts of the mixer
  • •Must be willing to work according to customer demands
  • •Operate a radio to communicate with company personnel
  • •Adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, state, and federal regulations
  • •Responsible for reporting all incidents/injuries to management as soon as they occur
  • •Attend safety meetings as scheduled by management Education High School Diploma/GED Requirements/Qualifications
  • •Must have currentCommercial Class A or B driver’s license with airbrakes and tank endorsement
  • •Safe driving record - no serious moving violations within the past 36 months; no more than two moving violations within the past 24 months
  • •Must have a current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate
  • •Ability to read a map and understand verbal and GPS driving route instructions
  • •Must have familiarity with slumps
  • •Good attendance and punctuality a must
  • •Ability to work in extremes of hot and cold weather
  • •Must have the physical ability to: climb, stoop, bend, squat, frequently lift extension chutes (up to 60 lbs.), stretch, drive/sit and shift gears
  • •Adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, State, and Federal regulations
  • •Must be able to work a flexible schedule with flexible hours, hours vary; overtime work, weekends and nights, may be required Preferred:
  • •Experience in ready-mix or heavy construction industries
  • •2+ years of commercial driving experience Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Safety sensitive and FMCSA regulated require on-going drug and alcohol testing.
