Ready Mix Driver

Posting is for Waimea location only. Duties

• •Properly follow company safety procedures in the efficient operation of ready-mix trucks and miscellaneous duties assigned by the supervisor.
• •Assist in maintaining a clean and safe working environment in and around the batch plant as per the supervisor's instructions.
• •Deliver ready mix concrete to both industrial and residential areas.
• •Understand and follow delivery and shift schedules directed and scheduled by the dispatchers both verbally and in writing.
• •Work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
• •Maintain assigned truck by keeping efficient working condition and cleanliness of equipment.
• •Perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major repair problems to the supervisor.
• •Work effectively with others such as supervisors, employees, and the public.
• •Maintain a positive attitude. Skills
• •Have previous truck driving experience, preferably ready mix.
• •Experience with 8-10 speed transmissions.
• •Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. occasionally during the day.
• •Good reading and writing skills.
• •Provide excellent customer service.
• •Manage an irregular work schedule including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Licensing & Certification
• •Current CDL class B, class A preferred.
• •Current medical examiner's certificate.
• •Good driving record.
