Job Summary The Concrete Mason performs all duties related to concrete application. Compensation $45.00 - $50.00 per hour. Responsibilities

  • •Pours and finishes concrete
  • •Performs flatwork construction
  • •Constructs minor concrete structures
  • •Installs reinforcing rebar or mesh wire to strengthen the concrete
  • •Spreads, levels and smooths concrete using a trowel, float or screed
  • •Molds expansion joints and edges
  • •Monitors curing to ensure durable, smooth and uniform finish
  • •Applies sealants or waterproofing to protect concrete Education High school diploma/GED Requirements/Qualifications
  • •Class C driver’s license with clean driving record
  • •Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • •Able to work in a safety-conscious manner
  • •Experience working in a heavy civil construction environment

Physical requirements

bending, kneeling, lifting and carrying, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions Preferred

  • •Class A commercial driver’s license
  • •Experience in traffic control
  • •Ability to establish finish grades from survey data
  • •Ability to complete Class 1 finish to structural concrete Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) registration/clearance as well as ongoing alcohol and drug testing. In accordance with the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, for work that will be performed in the San Francisco area, qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered for employment.
