Concrete Finisher​/Laborer

Position: Concrete Finisher / Laborer Location: Township of Columbia Hawkins Construction is a leading commercial concrete contractor serving the St. Louis region, with an expanding presence in Columbia, MO. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Concrete Laborers to join our construction team in the Columbia area. We are looking for experienced Concrete Laborers/Finishers who take pride in their work and want to join a team committed to getting the job done right. Responsibilities

• •Assist the crew with all phases of concrete construction, including preparation, demolition, forming, placement, finishing, and cleanup.
• •Set forms that hold concrete in place for structures such as sidewalks, curbs, floors, and driveways.
• •Place, distribute, level, and finish concrete according to project specifications.
• •Perform concrete finishing using appropriate tools and techniques.
• •Assist with general labor duties to support efficient job-site operations.
• •Use shovels, lutes, rakes, and other hand tools as needed.
• •Monitor the effects of weather on concrete curing and take necessary precautions.
• •Repair and resurface worn or damaged concrete surfaces.
• •Meet daily production goals by understanding and performing various aspects of concrete operations.
• •Ensure completed work meets job specifications and quality standards.
• •Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• •Maintain a professional and courteous attitude toward co-workers, customers, and the public.
• •Follow all company and job-site safety requirements, policies, and procedures.
• •Perform other duties as directed by the Foreman. Qualifications & Skills
• •3+ years of concrete or construction experience preferred.
• •5+ years of concrete finishing experience preferred.
• •Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• •Class A CDL preferred.
• •Knowledge of proper concrete finishing techniques, tools, and safety procedures.
• •Ability to work effectively as part of a construction crew.
• •Ability to travel to job sites as assigned.
